Data Analytics vs Data Science
Today with the rise Big Data, two such concepts have become more popular than ever that are Data Science and Data Analytics. Traditional data processing and analysis technologies are unable to handle the large and complicated amount of data generated every day by the digital world, hence the use of these concepts. Data Science and Data Analytics are like the two sides of same coin. Although Data Science is a bigger subject than Data Analytics, it can be said that the latter is related to providing solutions to the problems discovered by the former. Data science involves use of arithmetic, computation, statistics, programming, and other techniques to a vast body of data that is presented in a variety of formats in order to derive relevant insights. On the other hand, Data Analytics is used to collect and process large amount of data with the help of various data visualization techniques. To generate useful insights for data-driven decision making, both jobs execute varied degrees of data gathering, cleansing, and analysis. As a result, Data Scientist and Data Analyst duties frequently overlap.
