In order to prevent any energy disruptions that the underground fire at the Lila Canyon Mine in Price, Utah, Emery County Coal Resources Inc. will be developing new strategies to put it out. Drill pads, boreholes, road upgrades, and the installation of an above-ground conduit to provide water as needed are some of the alternatives suggested to put out the fire, according to a U.S. Bureau of Land Management news release from October 21.
